Publication Support

Manuscript preparation and journal selection for indexed journals — with the honesty that the process requires.

Publication

A good paper in the wrong journal is a wasted year

Scope mismatch is the single most common reason for desk rejection, and it has nothing to do with the quality of your research.

We read your manuscript, identify what it actually contributes, and match that to journals whose aims and scope genuinely fit — then check that each one is currently indexed where you think it is.

Quartiles change every year. Q1 to Q4 rankings are recalculated annually from citation metrics. A journal that was Q1 when a colleague published there may not be Q1 when you submit. We tell you the current quartile and the date we checked it.

Where we support submissions

Index / Publisher What you should know
ScopusElsevier's abstract and citation database. Coverage is reviewed continually and titles are discontinued, so we verify indexing at the time of submission rather than trusting a downloaded list.
SCI / SCIEScience Citation Index Expanded, part of Web of Science. Impact factors are published annually in the Journal Citation Reports.
SSCISocial Sciences Citation Index — the equivalent for social science research.
Springer NatureManuscript preparation to Springer templates, including their specific reference styles and figure requirements.
ElsevierElsevier journal formatting, graphical abstracts, highlights and their submission system requirements.
SAGESAGE house style, structured abstracts and their author guidelines.
EmeraldEmerald's structured abstract format, which is stricter than most and a common reason for return.
Taylor & FrancisT&F templates, reference styles and supplementary material rules.
ABDCAustralian Business Deans Council list — A*, A, B and C categories, widely used for management and commerce in Indian universities.
UGC-CAREThe University Grants Commission's list for Indian institutions. Membership changes; we check the current list rather than an archived copy.
Predatory journals

How to recognise the ones to delete

If you have published once, your inbox is already full of these. Here is what they have in common.

Acceptance in 48 hours

Genuine peer review takes weeks at minimum. A promise of rapid acceptance is a promise that nobody will read your paper.

Flattering mass email

"We admired your esteemed article" — usually about a paper only loosely related to the journal's stated scope.

Fake metrics

"Impact Factor" from an organisation nobody has heard of. Real impact factors come from Journal Citation Reports.

Fee revealed after acceptance

Legitimate journals publish their article processing charges openly, before you submit.

No verifiable editorial board

Named academics who have never heard of the journal, or a board with no institutional emails.

Claimed indexing you cannot verify

Check the index's own site, not the journal's claim about itself. This is the single most useful check you can do.

Our position

We will not promise you publication

Not in a Scopus journal, not in a Q1 journal, not anywhere. Acceptance is decided by editors and reviewers who have never met us. Any service that guarantees publication is either misleading you or working with journals that do not review — and a paper in one of those can do more harm to your record than no paper at all.
